Our Story
Helping Waukesha County Children Since 1949
Since 1949, the Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County has been promoting and coordinating the giving to families in need during the Christmas season. We provide a clearinghouse that matches families with area groups, families, businesses, and individuals who wish to help people less fortunate in our community. In 2019, we coordinated giving to more than 1,900 families and nearly 4,300 children in Waukesha County.

Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County (CCC) volunteer board of directors work diligently to promote the mission of CCC in the community, with clients and the media.

I am involved with CCC because I love their mission. I grew up in a large family and Christmas was always a very special time for us so I want to make Christmas special to kids in our community.

I am involved with CCC because I believe God calls us to share what we have – whether it’s time, talent and/or treasure. CCC gives me the opportunity to help coordinate the sharing of gifts by thousands of community members with those who need them.

I was introduced to CCC by my mom. For five years, my mother, two sisters and I volunteered as escorts at the annual Toy Shop. I asked a (former) board member one year if she needed help setting up Toy Shop the following year because it was always so rewarding. She invited me to the next board meeting and the rest is history.

Years ago, I was asked to help with one of the Toy Shop events that CCC organized. Seeing the passion of the workers combined with the happiness and appreciation of attendees motivated me to get involved. There is something special about making sure that Christmas is a memorable time for children. Helping to make each Christmas memorable for children that would not otherwise be able to experience it like they should was a no-brainer for me. I feel honored to be involved with this organization.
